I am a lazy ass…seriously.
I’ve joined 5-6 gyms in my day, and always say…”well, if I’m paying all this money, of course I’ll go.”
Never happens. What does happen is my spending money I don’t have, and getting nothing out of it. I try…I do. I figure the only way I’ll succeed is if I move somewhere with a gym inside my complex. It may happen. Who knows.
However, I just need to start doing what I say I’m going to do…like walking to work tomorrow, and starting to ride my bike to work more than once a month. Monday. That would be a good day to start.
I have about 10-15 lbs of cushion that I wouldn’t mind ditching. Today in the mail I got a book that I hope will help. Its for the Abs Diet. It’s that idea that you eat 6 small meals a day and boost your metabolism. With the walking and riding to work, that metabolism boost will actually be beneficial. The book I got is “6-Minute Meals for 6-Pack Abs” Yah, I know the whole 6-Pack idea is silly, but I think the idea of the diet can work with me. I’m going to read up and see what I need to buy, go grocery shopping tonight, and start eating small! On first read, just in the breakfast section alone…it looks like I need to stock up on whole wheat waffles and actual eggs…which excites me, because as much as I like eggbeaters, eggs are so much better.
Sometimes I feel like if I write about it….I have to do it. I mean…if I don’t I just look stupid right?
Do you all remember that scene in Something About Mary when Ben Stiller picks up the hitchhiker and they discuss 7-minute abs? For some reason the title of this book reminds me of that scene.
